Wisdom is better than rubies. -- ProverbsThe Quasi-elemental plane of Minerals is a universe of jewels of incredible beauty and brilliance. The quasi-elementals here are incomprehensible, brilliant, insect-like creatures. Without "mineral plane protection" or "earth plane protection", visitors will be shredded by the sharp crystals (1d4+AC points of damage for each round of movement). For each turn the visitors stay, each must save vs. constitution or be petrified and become a gem-studded fossil. Only "polymorph any object" or "wish" can return you to your normal form, and a system shock is always required. Visitors will be permanently blinded unless each brings "darkness" or special sunglasses. Only one gem out of 100 will survive when the adventurers take them home, and will be worth 1000 gp. The rest will explode (1d6 points damage each, no save). There is no normal air here. The Tower of Crystals is a refuge at the border of the positive energy plane. It is rumored that the greatest forge in the multiverse is here.
